Keyboard shortcuts

Move around ShrinkNotes without reaching for the mouse. These single-key shortcuts work anywhere in the app once you’re logged in.

What are the ShrinkNotes keyboard shortcuts?

• f — Find a client. Opens the client search box and focuses it so you can type a name.
• c — Go to the Calendar.
• h — Go Home.
• a — Add a client (opens the new-client form).
• Esc — Close the client search box.

When do shortcuts apply?

To stay out of your way, shortcuts follow a few sensible rules:

• They work only when you’re logged in and on an app page — not on public pages like a client’s intake form.
• They’re ignored while you’re typing in a text field or note editor, so they never disrupt your writing. Esc is the exception — it still closes search.
• They don’t fire while you hold Cmd or Ctrl, so your browser’s own shortcuts (like find-on-page) keep working normally.
